Ice was published in the UK by London-based Head of Zeus Books (Bloomsbury) on 6th November this year. The publisher describes it as a ‘trans-Siberian odyssey through political, criminal, scientific, philosophical and romantic intrigues’.

The novel was translated into English by Ursula Phillips. Her achievements include translations of books by Zofia Nałkowska and Piotr Paziński. Phillips collaborates with the University College London School of Slavonic and East European Studies.

Ice was first published by Wydawnictwo Literackie in 2007. It is a story about an alternative world in which the First World War never broke out and the Kingdom of Poland remains frozen under the rule of the tsar.

Ice was selected as the book of the 20th anniversary in Polityka's weekly magazine ranking and received, among others, the Kościelski Award and the European Literary Award.
